The IIS Admin Service service terminated with service-specific error 2149648394 (0x8021080A).
So you can’t start IIS? You have looked in the event log to find an IIS error “The IIS Admin Service service terminated with service-specific error 2149648394 (0x8021080A).”
Whenever this has happened to me it has meant that the IIS MetaBase.xml has become corrupt somehow, this is usually from what I can see something to do with the saving it in something other than notepad (and or possibly not stopping IIS before playing with it).
Either way, if you do experience “The IIS Admin Service service terminated with service-specific error 2149648394 (0x8021080A).” the only way I’m aware of resolving it is to restore the IIS MetaBase.xml explained here.
